Small Batches. Big Beers.

Brewer Matt Depin is redefining the nano-brewery. Rather than relying on a small number of safe favorites, he’s brewing something new (and big) every week.

The Brewhouse

Call it a shack, a she-shed (looking at you, Emily), or whatever you want, but this is where the magic happens. Our 1-bbl pilot system is the heart of Wicketrun. Every week, we use this workspace as our studio and brew beer that’s familiar, but unique.

Unlike most breweries that have a stable of three or four beers that are crowd-pleasers, Wicketrun is strictly a one and done type of place. We make something awesome, learn from it, and then brew something better next time. Our small system allows us to be nimble, experimental, and a little bit crazy. Since no one is expecting us to have their favorite on tap, we always have room in the fermenters for something new.

As soon as we find the perfect place to sling our beers, we’re looking to brew on a 3.5-bbl electric system. This smaller system still allows us to stay creative with brews but we’ll let you know now: when it’s gone, it’s gone!

“Brew beer that’s familiar, but unique. Let’s do something different.”

— Matt Depin, Owner-Brewer

Sure, you’ve had an IPA, but have you had a reduced-gluten 8.5% version made with wild rice?

We’ve all heard of a wee heavy, but have you ever had one that’s so damn good it’s been awarded four gold medals?

We pride ourselves in taking established styles and tweaking them to take them beyond what you might have thought possible.
